"Membership" is nice, but meaningless without Readership. You could have 100,000 "members" who each "join" once, but how often will they read the blog and - even more importantly - what exactly will the your budding pseudomovment accomplish? I wish you well, but these are legitimate questions that you must ask yourselves. Other will be asking.
