Glad to be a member, once the website is open for business, things I'm sure will get alot busier. Where "our party" goes from here can be up to us, if we take control... If we once again wait on "party leaders" to pull their heads out of their a##'s, I'm sure the Reps will lean more and more left come next election... It's up to us, what are we going to do about it?...

There's something to that. Both parties corrupt their members through power (power = money). People vote the "party" even if they don't consider themselves affiliated with a party. You hear people say (self-righteously), "I don't vote for the party, I vote for the man," (implying that they have evaluated the man and the issues and you have not). But those people's pet issues and programs will clue you in: "Democrat." They want to believe that they've evaluated the man and thought out the issues, when they've really just been educated to believe that Democratic social programs are the cure-all. Politicians promise to vote for the policy, not as partisans. Then they get into office and vote straight down the party line, even at the expense of their own constituency. Powerful committee chairmen twist their arms and bribe and blackmail them into voting their own pocketbooks. Then they feed their voters some lame doublespeak to cover up why they voted the way they did. But if we don't go with a party, how can we have the power? What are we going to do, dump the Republicans and go Democrat? When the Democrats have given power to any bizarre fringe group which will further its ends? The party has become more powerful than the people.
